Blair’s Fertilizer Ltd. is a family owned, progressive minded, integrated agriculture solutions based company with five full service locations in Saskatchewan at Lanigan, Nokomis, Watrous, Liberty, and McLean, four anhydrous ammonia sites located at Davidson, Govan, Balcarres and Lipton and one joint venture crop protection retail at Hanley.   We are also in the process of building two new full service locations at Lipton and Strongfield, Saskatchewan. In addition, Blair’s employs a team of over 50 people in the areas of crop nutrition and crop protection, agronomy, sales, animal nutrition, logistics, equipment maintenance, warehousing, and administration. Crop Protection and Nutrition:

We offer an extensive line of crop protection and nutrition products – seed, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, inoculants, fertilizers, and micronutrients.  In addition to our extensive range of products we also offer custom application services, agronomic consulting services, and the most knowledgeable and dedicated people in the agriculture business.

Animal Nutrition Products:

Beef– We offer a complete line of Bovine minerals, supplements, complete feeds and texturized show rations. 

Equine – together with Nutrena we are pleased to provide the most researched and nutritionally balanced equine products in North America.  

Companion Animals – We offer companion animal products for dogs and cats.  We recently launched the new Loyall® line of products with Opti-Cook technology.  We also provide products for specialty animals such as sheep, poultry, hogs or rabbits. 

Dairy – We are proud to provide high quality milk replacers, calf starters, dry cow and heifer minerals, heifer rations, close up rations.

Summer Student Position

The Summer Student will work in partnership with staff at the Blair's location and will be involved in all aspects of the Blair’s crop and animal nutrition businesses.  They will work under the supervision of senior staff and daily tasks will include; scouting and other agronomic needs with location staff and industry representatives, loading and blending fertilizer, making farm deliveries, yard maintenance, equipment maintenance and other needs as required.

Skills Required
  • Agricultural background / education an asset, but not necessarily required
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
