Grow Community of Independents

G-Mac’s Ag Team

G-Mac’s AgTeam Inc. is an independent Crop Input retail business located in West Central Saskatchewan, owned by Garth and Gayle MacDonald.  Garth and Gayle relocated to Kindersley in 1991 and invested in the local Imperial Oil business. In 2000, they saw an opportunity to become a true independent, and G-Mac’s AgTeam Inc. was formed. Initially G-Mac’s had locations in Kindersley, Plenty/Dodsland, and Eatonia. New retail locations were added in 2003 (Marengo) and 2004 (Leader). This business has grown from 12 full-time employees in 2000 to 32 today. In 1991, this trade area was primarily a cereal/fallow crop rotation. It has transitioned to be an area of very diverse crop rotations, including lentils, canola, wheat, durum, malt barley, peas, canary seed and chickpeas. This trade area is responsible for a significant amount of the world production of lentils and canary seed. Fallow acres in this area greatly reduced over the past 20 years.

G-Mac’s has a very strong and trusted team of employees that contribute to the company’s success. They understand crop production and are committed to the success of the producers in the area. Members of the G-Mac’s team are very involved in various aspects of the communities in which they live, including local boards and service groups, minor sports and community fund-raisers.

Garth and Gayle and all of the G-Mac’s team feel very fortunate to have a customer base consisting of many progressive and successful producers, and much pride is taken in association with their farm business operations.

G-Mac’s AgTeam Inc. is a company with true entrepreneurial and independent spirit.
