G J Chemical is a locally owned and operated independent retail in southeastern Manitoba. Greg Janzen (G. J.) started the company in February of 2000 in Arnaud, Manitoba. In 2004 they opened their second location in Altona, Manitoba. Ted Schmidt, Alex Wahl, and Brent Manning have worked for G J Chemical since 2004 and purchased the business from Greg Janzen in 2010. G J Chemical Co. is also partnered with MK Agro, which opened in late 2010 in the Brunkild area. G J Chemical believes that their strong and trusted team is the reason for their success. They understand crop production and are committed to the success of the producers in their areas. Community support is an important aspect of business for G J Chemical. G J’s staff members are involved in various aspects of the communities in which they work and live. They often volunteer for and assist with local boards and service groups, minor sports, and community fundraisers. The team at G J’s prides themselves in employing the best people that carry the best knowledge of their local growing area.
